Some LPs today are focused on doing a deep diligence evaluation when making an investment. This evaluation involves looking at the company-level information, or deal level information, of a GP. Deal Level Benchmarks
LPs have the option to filter down the deal-level dataset across sector, geography and/or industry as well as look at purchase multiples and performance metrics. The deal-level dataset allows Cobalt users to:
- Benchmark performance at the portfolio company level
- Perform strategic reviews of your investment strategy by back testing prices paid and amount of leverage used versus relevant private market deals
- Use trusted and relevant market pricing data when evaluating deals
- Understand pricing and leverage trends and your position within a market cycle
